Sony’s latest Xperia flagship will be available from October 4 for S$998 contract-free.
Fresh off its recent IFA announcement, the Sony Xperia Z1, the company’s latest flagship mobile phone, will debut in Singapore on October 4. Succeeding the Xperia Z, the Z1 takes imaging to yet another level, boasting a 20.7 megapixel camera, along with Sony’s reputable G lens with a f/2.0 aperture. The handset also uses a new aluminum unibody frame, significantly increasing ruggedness as well as aesthetic appeal.
Specification-wise, the Z1 packs a 5-inch 1080p display, 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 CPU, 2GB of RAM as well as IP58 water and dust resistance. As you would come to expect from an Android flagship device, the Z1 runs on Android 4.2.2 and is equipped with LTE, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. Like its predecessor, the Xperia Z1 will be available in black, white and purple colour options.
The Xperia Z1 will be available from all three telcos or without an operator contract for S$998 from all Sony authorized dealers.
